How to increase your Battery Power in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

When using Soneaus technologies from Zelda Tears of the Kingdomyou consume the energy of your Battery. Its capacity is relatively low at the beginning of the adventure, but you can increase it to create ever more complex machines.

Where to improve your battery?

There are two places to increase the energy in your Battery.

The first is where you started your adventure, on the celestial island of the Prelude. If you teleport to the shrine in the south, you will find a golem who will offer to do you this service. (Coordinates 0375; -1651; 2297)

The other golem that can upgrade your Battery is just outside the the north gate of the Watchtower. It offers exactly the same services as its counterpart in the heavens. (Coordinates 0375; -1651; 2297)

What is needed to improve the Battery?

The golems offer to increase your battery by one cell for every 100 crystals of soneau energy. To get a full battery, you need three cells and therefore 300 crystals of soneau energy.

The vast majority of these crystals are found in The Deep. They are held by enemies corrupted by miasma and you can sometimes get them back when they die. Bigger enemies like the Lynels will have crystals and in larger quantities. Finally, some bosses in the Depths can directly reward you with 100 crystals in one go.

If fighting is not your forte, you can also buy crystals in the various mines run by golems. They exchange cores of soneau energy and sonium for a certain amount of crystals. These crystals are limited, however, and it takes a while for the stock to replenish. Sonium can be found by reaching the Deep deposits, which are usually protected by Bokoblins. It is recommended that you use the Encyclopaedic Detector for this.
