Vampire Survivors Update 1.5: Astral Stair map available for free

Summer Game Fest 2023 is in full swing. During the PC Gaming Show, Vampire Survivors made an unexpected appearance to unveil Astral Staira new free card, available with the 1.5 update. The Poncle studio is also taking advantage of this update to add a new pick-up entitled GoldFinger and an evolution for Yatta Cavallo. We explain everything in this article.

The most notable new feature of this latest version is undoubtedly Astral Stair cardThe environment is reminiscent of that of Inlaid Labrary, one of the cards already available in-game. According to Gamer PCwhich organised the PC Gaming Show, the map will feature " seemingly endless corridors, flying boards and a game-show-style wheel that triggers random events".

This will be visible in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and will contain a number of icons representing various special events, including waves of particular enemies or temporary bonuses and penalties. You'll be facing the randomness of the wheel every minute!

To spice up all your games, not just those on Astra Stair, you'll be able to use this famous wheel on the map of your choice. To do this, you'll need to acquire a relic, Trisectionthen activate the 'Randomize Minutes Event' mode in the map selection menu. If you're a streamer, you can make your games even more chaotic, because viewers will be able to vote for future events that will influence your run.

These two new features are already particularly interesting, but Poncle isn't stopping there with the 1.5 update. The studio has also unveiled a new pick-up called GoldFinger. This will allow you to obtain rewards, including temporary invincibility. It works with various levels, Golden Finger, Devil Finger and Cosmic Finger The more enemies you eliminate in the allotted time, the higher the levels you reach, the greater your rewards.

Unfortunately, there are no new characters in this update. However, we do have Yatta Cavallo receives an upgrade. This shape, obtained at level 80will have an upgraded version of its original weapon. The power of the Cosmic Panda is just a click away!

You won't have to wait long before you can test out your best builds on Astral Stair, as all the new content will be available in the following languages available on 12 June.
