Valorant Patch Notes 3.02
It's summer and players are still getting used to the big 3.02 patch. As a result, we have a new patch that is fairly light, focusing on all sorts of bug fixes. Here are the Patch Notes 3.02 of Valorant!
Key points to remember of Patch 3.02:
- Less clipping
- Few Agents bugs
- Not much more
Rio Games has rolled out changes to reduce clipping of in-game elements. If you don't know what clipping is, it's when different elements pass through without being "physically" consistent. For example, when your Agent's hand goes through your weapon skin, or when Sage's hair goes through a wall, this is called clipping.
This is not just a correction for the sake of it, however. In practice, it means that you will no longer be able to guess an Agent's presence by seeing their hair or hands through a wall or crate. No more unexpected tactical advantages.
Clipping is almost impossible to remove in a video game, especially in a game that is regularly updated with new skins or maps. But that doesn't mean you can't reduce it from time to time!
Few Agents bugs
There's not much concerning the Agents in this patch, but there are two rather important points related to the clipping aforementioned:
Sage can no longer place walls between the two Breeze pyramids. Apart from the clipping this created, it provided far too many advantageous angles where Sage could see and kill her enemies without being visible from their perspective.
Raze can no longer place his Boom Bot through certain walls.
The Patch 3.02 will be deployed on the night of Tuesday 20th to Wednesday 21st July.
