Valorant Champions 2022 - FOLLOW-UP
The Valorant Champions are the ultimate competition of the year, the one that will crown the best team in the world from all participating regions. They take place in Istanbul, Turkey, at the Volkswagen Arena and will be held 31st August to 18th September.
For this second edition, the current title holders, Acend will not be attending. They were eliminated from the VCT 2022 by immediately losing their first two Last Chance Qualifier matches, following their poor results throughout the season.
The teams will share a cashprize The amount of the prize money is not yet known, but it could be the same as the previous year, i.e. 1 million dollars. In addition, they will receive 50% of net revenue from the sale of Champions 2022 skins.

Valorant Champions Programme
Just like last year, sixteen teams are participating in the Valorant Champions. The competition will start with a group stage of nine days. At the end of the competition, the top eight teams will qualify for the play-offs which will be played in double elimination bracket.
All matches will be played in BO3, except for the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final which will be played in BO5.
