UTT Arena organises a University Valorant tournament
Esports is a social practice that is played at all levels. We tend to think of the highest levels of competition, but esports starts out more often than you think in school and universities. This weekend will take place the UTT Arena, an esports event organised by the University of Technology of Troyes.
This annual event brings together students and enthusiasts of new technologies and video games around competitions. For the first time, the UTT Arena is taking place online, following the current health crisis. By overcoming the physical limitations inherent in a LAN, the organisers are taking the opportunity to think bigger and open their competitions to a greater number of players.
No less than 500 players, spread over 6 tournaments, are expected throughout the weekend from 27th to 29th November 2020. On the program, we find League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rocket League... and for the first time, VALORANT !
From Saturday, 10am, 16 teals will compete in a big tournament. The teams will be divided into 4 pools, the two best of which qualify for the following stages. From there, the competition takes place on a double elimination bracket, until the grand final in BO3 this Sunday, starting at 5pm.
Participants will be able to show their worth and the top three will share the €700 at stake. It's above all the opportunity to have a good time while participating in a competition in real conditions.
Registrations are already full, but we invite you to follow this tournament throughout the weekend. You will be able to follow the action directly on the UTT Arena's Twitch channel which will host the channels of the various casters. If you're only interested in Valorant and spikes' explosions, you can follow Dfuse's Twitch channel who will comment on the Valorant tournament.
For more information regarding the UTT Arena, don't hesitate to follow the official website of the event.
