Team Envy becomes OpTic Gaming
As the 2022 competitive season is about to begin, both in VCT and VRL, new organisations are positioning themselves on the professional Valorant scene. Recently, we announced the arrival of the MOUZ organisation. Today, it'sOpTic Gaming turn to enter Riot Games' FPS with the roster of Team Envy.
The two organisations merged in early November 2021. Envy's Call of Duty team, Dallas Empire, has already been transferred to OpTic Gaming and renamed OpTic Texas. It is now the turn of theValorant team to be transferred.
Last year was a successful year for the Envy roster, which had good results in the VCT and made top 1 in Challengers 2 Phase 1. It also achieved a very good top 2 in Berlin Masters, after being defeated by Gambit Esports. Thanks to their performances, the players secured their place in the Valorant Champions, but unfortunately were eliminated in the group stage.
Since this defeat, the roster has not changed. FNS, Victor, crashies, yay and Marved are still the five representatives of the team. More motivated than ever, they are determined to become one of the best teams in North America.
Qualified for the VCT North America, they will play their first match against Rise on Sunday 13th February. We wish them good luck for this new season.
