Some movement at Bonk, draken joins the team

The Valorant esports scene is relatively volatile. Whether in small or large teams, we notice many changes of players. These days, it's on the Bonk side that there seems to be some movement.

Last week, the team lost three of its members. Their coach, eMiL, is rumoured to have left for Ninjas in Pyjamas. Sayf and xadjdish have left the team, but it's not known exactly why. Both players said they enjoyed their time at Bonk and still being close to its members, but the fact that they're looking for new teams to play with suggests that something is going on.

At the end of last week, there were only three players left: Bonkar, Yacine and Ziz. This weekend, a professional CS:GO player came in to consolidate the team. This is Draken, an European champion who has worked for both Epsilon and Fnatic and... Ninjas in Pyjamas. On Valorant, he was seen at Prodigy, but was also a member of the Dream Chasers andInferno.

Even though the team is still missing a player, things seem to be happening behind the scenes. Let's hope for them that they will eventually find a full team. Despite the lack of support from mainstream esports organisations, Bonk has had excellent results in the Ignition Series, qualifying twice for the Final.

Bonk players are:

  • Malkolm "Bonkar" Rench
  • Yacine "Yacine" Laghmari
  • Leo "Ziz" Jannesson
  • William "Draken" Fant
