Ninjas in Pyjamas announces its Brazilian team
Two months ago, the European organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas announced that it would be opening a facility in Brazil, following a huge success with Rainbow Six Siege. The staff say they saw a real opportunity to shine on the scene and recruit future gems of the game.
This abandonment of the European region led to a dissolution of their European roster on Valorant, in order to recruit new players from South America. It took several weeks to find out who the team members would be, but the wait is now over.
Jonn, xand, bnj, bezn1 and cauanzin will play for Ninjas in Pyjamas for the VCT 2022.
xand had a good 2021 season with FURIA Esports and even participated in the Valorant Champions, although the roster did not make it past the group stages. Jonn played the whole year for Gamelanders Blue, a team with which he made top 2 at Masters 1 Brazil and won the First Strike Brazil. As for bnj, the Argentinian won the Challengers 1 of Phase 2 and participated in the Masters in Reykjavik with KRÜ Esports. However, he has not been seen in competition since.
The last two members are bezn1 and cauanzin, both former Tropinha do TIKTOK. They will normally be coached by RoY, the former coach of the Black Dragons.
The team has already qualified for the first Challengers of the year by winning the Closed Qualifier 1 in their region. They beat TBK Esports 2-0 in the quarter-finals and Botafogo eSports 2-1 in the semi-finals. A good start of the year for the former European organisation.
We look forward to seeing you on 12th February to see them play in the main event.
