Karmine Corp launches its women's Valorant team
As the Karmine Corp is about to take its first steps in the Valorant Champions Tour at the LOCK//IN São Paulo, the organisation also announces the recruitment of a women's team for the Game Changers.
The Karmine Corp has just signed a 100% French team, made up in part of former Tenstar Nova players. This is how we find Asma "LiriLia" Boughida as captain, accompanied by two of her former teammates, Mathilde "Nelo" Beltoise and Nouhara "Ninou" Marcos Oraha. Together, they had won two stages of the Game Changers in 2021, but had split during 2022. The trio is back together, joined by Lea "Matriix" Ransquin, the only Belgian player in the squad, and Melina "Mel" Houssein, Gotaga's sister, who has been officiating on the Valorant competitive scene since its inception and who was seen alongside Ninou at the Spike Nations last October.
In terms of coaching and supervision, the Karmine has acquired the services of Mathieu "LaAw" Plantin. The former French player who was seen alongside HyP, CREA, menegh (now with Mandatory) and Enzo (formerly Fearoth and Fnatic player, now at Apeks) therefore takes over the position of head coach that he had at Tenstar Nova. He is assisted by Emma 'Emash' Beziaud Le Pochat, a former Vitality ambassador who is best known for her casts on official Valorant competitions.
The team will therefore participate in the VCT Game Changers 2023. As a reminder, this official competitive circuit was set up by Riot Games to encourage women to take up esports. At the end of 2022, G2 Gozen won the title.
