Guild Esports recruits Sayf
The rumours had been running for over a month, they're now confirmed. Guild Esports recruits Sayf to replace Goffe.
It's almost a homecoming for Sayf, as he finally joins his former teammates of Team Bonk, who have since become Guild Esports. He had left them to go to Ninjas in Pyjamas, in anticipation of the Valorant First Strike. The team however failed to qualify for the final tournament and decided, one again, to change its players. Left on the substitute bench like others before him, Sayf was able to leave the Ninjas and join Guild.
On the side of Guild Esports, there was a vacant place since Goffe left. He had himself been recruited to replace Sayf after his departure from the Ninjas. Like many other unhappy First Strike teams, Guild is making these changes in the hopes of raising the bar before the Valorant Champions Tour.
In addition to this roster change, the team has a new coach: Barbarr. He's a Counter-Strike veteran, with over fifteen years of experience in the business. He was a professional player before reorienting himself towards coaching in 2019. He was a major player for teams like Epsilon Esports or Singularity.
Hopefully for Guild Esports, this return of one of their players and these organisational changes will benefit one of the teams. Bonk has always been one of the most promising team in Europe.
