Gen.G Esports benches Huynh of its roster

After their loss to TSM in quarter-final of the NA Challengers 2 qualifiers, Gen.G Esports made a change in the team. The organisation announced yesterday that Danny "Huynh" Huynh is now benched.

Huynh had been with Gen.G Esports since the team's beginnings, even while Valorant was still in beta. The team was formed through the signing of the French Canadians, a mix that had won the Nerd Street Gamers – Open #2. Under their new banner, the team won one of the game's first major tournaments in the US, the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Invitational. More recently, at the recent Masters, they made it to the loser bracket finals, knocking out 100 Thieves, but losing to the FaZe Clan.

However, Gen.G Esports' loss to TSM in the quarter-final of the NA Challengers 2 qualifiers got the better off the player of Jett. From the original roster, only Anthony "gMd"' Guimond and Michael "MkaeL" De Luca remain.

Huynh is, like Menace and Jangler, still contracted by his team, but may already be looking for a new organisation. The player said that in addition to being able to play Jett and Sova, he's open to other roles. If he takes advantage of the time left before the next Challengers to expand his pool of Agents, he should have no problem finding his next home.
