Excel Esports presents its Valorant team
New organisations are launching on Valorant at the beginning of the VCT Phase 2. Excel Esports steps into the ring and presents its team.
The captain of the team is none other than Davidp. He was the fifth player of G2 Esports when they were at their best. He has since then been sidelined in the hope of breathing new life into a team that was starting to lose its edge. He is joined by three CS:GO veterans and a newbie on the competitive scene.
Morgan " B1ggy " Madour is a French player who has played for many small, unknown Valorant teams, but has over ten years of experience on Counter-Strike and has played for Team Heretics on Valve's FPS.
Vincent " Happy " Cervoni is another French CS:GO veteran who played for Prodigy mix for a time before moving to Vodafone Giants.
Marc " Honeybee " Begley is an English player who was seen during the Ignition Series. He was playing for the Purple Cobras when the team reached the quarter finals of the Valorant First Strike.
Finally, Alend " Ale " Khalaf is a Swedish rookie with no real competition experience, but whose talents have held the attention of the organisation.
Excel Esports co-founder, Kieran Holmes-Darby, says he is delighted to unveil his team. "We are in this for the long term and I truly believe we have created something special. Our ambitions for this year are limitless and I can’t wait to start this journey and experience it alongside our players, partners and community."
The team takes its first steps in the competition today in the Challengers 1 of the second phase of the Valorant Champions Tour.
