Dates and info of the 3rd Game Changers EMEA
With the kick-off of the second phase of the VCT Game Changers EMEA yesterday, Riot Games has announced the dates of the third and final edition of the event.
The Game Changers, the official women's circuit originally launched in the United States last spring, arrived in Europe a few weeks ago. The first of the three phases ended with a victory of the team Tenstar Nova.
Riot Games had initially planned to make phases 2 and 3 mixed, but has reversed its decision. Following feedback from the community, they felt that Valorant's female ecosystem might not be ready for such a transition yet. It's now confirmed, this third edition will remain for female players only.
This last phase of the VCT Game Changers EMEA will, like the previous ones, take place in two parts. The qualifiers take place from 12th to 17th November, while the main event will be held from 18th to 21st November.
This means that 64 all-female teams will be able to register and compete. While the format remains the same as for the first two editions, the cash prize has been increased. It has been increased from €20,000€ to €50,000. This is a relatively large amount of money compared to the European Challengers, which is only €30,000. This is all the more remarkable when you consider that this is a women's competition, and that these competitions are not normally given enough value and prominence.
If you want to participate, you have until 8th November to register !
