The Valorant Istandul ChampionsThe final stage of the VCT is fast approaching. As a result, Riot Games is starting to reveal more and more information about the competition. In an article and a video recently posted, the FPS publisher presented the format, groups and planning of the championship.
Throughout the year, more than 100 teams from around the world have been fighting for their place in the Valorant Champions, the most important stage of the season. Only sixteen of them have managed to qualify and are now ready to fight for the second World Champion title. Last year, Acend had lifted the trophy but this year theteam was eliminated by G2 Esports at the Last Chance Qualifier EMEA. Who will succeed them?
The Valorant Champions will start with a GSL group phaseThis is a four-team double elimination bracket. Four groups have been created, into which the teams have been previously divided according to their ranking in their region. In order to advance to the next stage of the competition, they will have to finish in the top 2 of their group, after having played two or three matches respectively, depending on their results.
Once the group stage is over, the eight qualified teams will compete in a double elimination bracketThis is the case until one of them wins the ultimate title.

Here are the important dates to remember during the Valorant Champions:
- 31 August to 08 September - Group phase
- 09 to 13 September - Double elimination bracket
- 16th September - Upper Bracket Final and Lower Bracket Semi-Final
- 17 September - Lower Bracket Final
- 18 September - Grand Final
How to follow the competition
The Valorant Champions will be broadcast in all languages, mainly on Twitch. It will also be available on YouTube in English, Russian and Turkish.
