Fnatic rents Fearoth and H1BER for Masters 1

The first Masters of the VCT 2022 is currently being prepared, but this one will be as impacted by the news as the previous ones, especially in Europe. At the beginning of the week, we learned that FunPlus Phoenix would not be able to participate, despite its qualification, and now it's the turn of Fnatic to have problems. The team is forced to rent Fearoth and H1BER to replace Braveaf and Derke in order to participate in the competition.

In the case of Braveaf, the subject is quite thorny. Due to Russia's attacks on Ukraine, the Russian-born player was already not guaranteed a trip to Iceland for the Masters. But he was also suspended from the team after private messages surfaced in which he discussed the conflict in Eastern Europe. Fnatic has launched an investigation to assess the situation.

Deprived of one of its players, Fnatic contacted Alliance to negotiate the loan of a player: Fearoth. This French player that we know well will participate in the Masters with the Fnatic banner.

This situation is not unlike that of Sinatraa and TenZ, at Sentinels during the VCT 2021.

Regarding Derke, the problem is quite different. The player tested positive for COVID-19 and must therefore remain in isolation. Even though the competition does not start until 22nd April, he will not be able to get there in time to train with his team.

It is then H1BER, a player from the Spanish team KOI, who will replace Derke. This is a surprising choice, given that KOI is not exactly a top team on the European scene.

The Fnatic players will therefore participate in the Masters at a serious disadvantage compared to other teams. But it could also be a good opportunity to test some changes in the team.
