100 Thieves splits with dicey and b0i
100 Thieves has decided to separate from dicey and b0i, as stated in the announcement on their Twitter account.
dicey q joined the team in October 2020 with Asuna. The season started badly for the 100 Thieves, who did not qualify for the first stage of the VCT and made a top 6 in the Challengers 2 Phase 1. Very quickly, changes were made. The team recruited Ethan and benched dicey at the end of February. After that, he was only seen again in July, at the Challengers 1 Stage 3, replacing Ethan on a single map. He has been totally inactive since then.
b0i started playing on 100 Thievs in July, after leaving Andbox. First as a subsitute, then as a first-team player two months later, taking over the place of steel. The aim was to strengthen the team before the start of the Last Chance Qualifier, in order to qualify for the Valorant Champions. 100 Thieves was one of the favourites for this competition. But despite a good performance, the team was defeated by Rise in the Upper Bracket final and by Cloud 9 in the Lower Bracket final. The team finished in third place and saw its hopes of qualifying for the Valorant Champions evaporate.
Like many teams, 100 Thieves made the decision to reorganise with the aim of having a good VCT 2022 season and securing a place at the final event. Having not played for months, it's only natural that dicey has been released. As for b0i, his performance at the LCQ was mixed and not enough to convince. It's now time for them toexplore new horizons..
The two players have not communicated about their future on the game, although b0i expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the org in a Twitlonger. He concluded his message by saying that he would be back soon. So we should definitely see him back for next season.
