100 Thieves makes changes
For the past two weeks, the American teams that have qualified for the NA 2022 VCT main event have been competing for their spot in the first Masters of the year. That's the case of 100 Thieves, who recently announced some big changes to their roster.
In January 2022, the American organisation 100 Thieves recruited BabyJ and ec1s,,the latter being the new leader of the team. Just one month later, they have just been released by the team.
Both players have only played two official matches with this roster, but it doesn't seem to have worked out. The Thieves played Cloud 9 and The Guard, but both matches ended in losses: 0-2 for one and 1-2 for the other. The team lost 13-0 on Ascent against The Guard.
Following these defeats, 100 Thieves decided that it was time to get back on track, and that meant making changes to the roster. Thus, it is bang and jcStani who join the ranks to replace ec1s and BabyJ. Both players have been loaned by TSM and Pioneers respectively for an undetermined period of time. With the departure of ec1s, it is Ethan Ethan who takes over the role of leader in-game.
Both of them failed to qualify for the main event of the Challengers 1 NA. They will therefore play their first VCT match of the season this Sunday 27th February at 1pm (PST). The new team will face Luminosity and hopefully they will manage to get their first win.
