Valorant coming to Game Pass this winter
This weekend at the XBOX & Bethesda Showcase, Riot Games revealed that these bigger titles will be joining Game Pass this winter. This means that Game Pass holders will soon be able to enjoy Valorant and some in-game benefits.
Unlock Agents for free!
Of all the announcements at the Showcase, one did not go unnoticed as it was so unexpected. Riot Games is partnering with XBOX to include its biggest games in the Game Pass. This is notably the case for Valorant.
Knowing that Valorant is a free-to-play, what is the point for players with a Game Pass? The answer is simple: all agents will be unlocked automatically and free of charge. In addition to this, players will be able to enjoy future Agents as soon as they are released, without having to unlock them.
Normally, you have to play a certain number of games to get an Agent, by completing the first 5 levels of your contract, or pay 1,000VP, or €10, to buy it instantly. As a brand new player, it goes without saying that the Game Pass will be particularly advantageous.
What other games are included in Game Pass?
Valorant isn't the only game from Riot Games that has benefited from this partnership with XBOX. Whether you're on your phone or PC, you'll be able to enjoy some great titles and privileges on :
- League of Legends (PC version). Players will receive all champions for free.
- League of Legends: Wildrift (mobile). Players will receive all champions for free.
- Legends of Runeterra (PC and mobile). Players will receive the Foundations set for free.
- Teamfight Tactics (PC and mobile). Players will receive a selection of Little Legends for free.
As for when the games will be added to the Game Pass, no information has been disclosed on the subject yet. However, you will be able to enjoy this content during the winter of 2022.
