Sentinels replaces Sick with Marved
Following the temporary suspension of SicK, Sentinels integrates Marved in its active roster in order to maintain a roster of 6 players at the Valorant Champions Tours 2023.
Sentinels is going through a complicated situation. After its premature disposal to LOCK//IN São Paulo, the organiosation has to temporarily suspend Sick following his arrest for criminal trespass. Forced to recruit a sixth player to take part in the VCT, Sentinels set its sights on Marved.
After debuts with FaZe Clan and Envy, Marved made a name for himself at the Berlin Masters 2022. Following the absorption of Envy by OpTic Gaming, he and his teammates continued to play together under the new banner. It was under the OpTic Gaming name that they played in the Valorant Champions final against LOUD that same year. Despite this success, the team was disbanded during the off-season and the players joined different structures to prepare the VCT 2023.
This is how Marved became part of UNTAMABLE BEATS along with former Sentinels players like zombs and sinatraa. However, this new team failed to qualify for the North American Challengers; a real failure for a team that wanted to compete with the best NA teams. The team was therefore out from the official competitive circuit and Marved available to join another structure, and therefore Sentinels.
The arrival of Marved could allow the team to correct the situation and attack the VCT 2023 under better conditions than the LOCK//IN. Main Killjoy and just as comfortable on Fade or even Viper, his versatility should be an interesting asset for Sentinels. He is very complementary to Dephh who plays Cypher and Sage.
This new line-up will have the opportunity to showcase itself at the next stage of VCT, against 100 Thieves on 1st April at 9pm.
