Register for the Fall Tournament of the VALORANT Open Tour France!

The VALORANT Open Tour France, the French championship of Valorant, is not far away. But there is still one step before the best local teams compete: the Fall Tournament, which acts as a Last Chance Qualifier, for which registration will open very soon!

A last chance to qualify

In previous tournaments, 6 teams have already qualified. But there are still 2 places to be filled... maybe even more. Indeed, if one of the qualified teams cannot, for one reason or another, participate in the final tournament of the VALORANT Open Tour France, it will be replaced by the best ranked team during the Fall Tournament.

Registration for the Fall Tournament of the VALORANT Open Tour France

The Fall Tournament of the VALORANT Open Tour France will take place over 3 weekends. It will be held from 23rd to 24th October, from 30th to 31st October and the 6th and 7th November 2021.

Pour y participer, vous pourrez vous inscrire du 1er au 17 octobre, à 23h59, sur la page tournoi officielle de la compétition.

The tournament can have up to 256 teams (compared to 128 in previous editions). If there are more than 256 teams registered, the 256 teams with the highest average MMR will be selected. This MMR will also be used for the composition of the tournament bracket.

This first tournament will be divided into two phases:

  • The first one will be played from 23rd to 24th October 2021, in a Swiss round bracket with a series of 8 matches in BO1. The top 32 teams qualify for the rest of the tournament.
  • The second phase will be played from 24th October and the following two weekends, in a double elimination bracket in BO3. Only the grand final will be played in BO5.

Requirements for participation

To participate, players and teams must follow certain rules.

The VALORANT Open Tour France is open to all teams with at least three players living in France, Belgium or Switzerland.

Each team must have at least 5 players, including a captain who will act as intermediary between their teammates and the tournament staff. Teams can also register up to 4 substitutes.

Each player must be at least 16 years old and have reached the rank Platinum 1 in the competitive mode of VALORANT.

The tournaments are also open to teams qualified for one of the VALORANT Masters, even if they don't have three players residing in France, provided that the French circuit is the only national circuit in which they participate.

Some changes in the rules

VALORANT has changed a lot since the Sprint Tournament. In view of these changes and the very large number of teams expected, some points of the rules have been modified.

First, Fracture, the new map of VALORANT, will be playable during the tournament. We have also changed the rules concerning the picks & bans of the maps, whether in BO1, BO3 or BO5 matches. For more details on the new rules, please consult the rules of the tournament.

In addition, in order to avoid excessive delays in Swiss rounds, matches where the teams reach a score of 16-16 are stopped. A tie is then declared between the two teams.

We hope that many of you will participate in this great tournament that we have the pleasure to organise! You can find more information and rules on the official website of the VALORANT Open Tour France.
