Occitanie Esports announces a major Valorant tournament in France
For the third year in a row, ESL Gaming France, Sud de France Arena and Région Occitanie are organising a major esports event: theOccitanie Esports. It's an opportunity for players of games like Fortnite or Rocket League to be in a competitive environment. This year, the Occitanie Esports will also hold its first Valorant tournament and have entrusted us with the organisation!
Les joueurs de Valorant gagnent en niveau et en technicité jour après jour. Trois mois après la sortie officielle du jeu, il est temps de constater où en sont nos joueurs français. L’Occitanie Esports sera le théâtre d’un grand tournoi Valorant où 64 teams can compete for a cash prize of €3,000 awarded to the winners.
The tournament will take place from 20th to 27th September 2020.. The 64 registered teams will have to compete in BO1s throughout a double elimination tournament.
Given the health situation, the tournament will take place online. It's a blessing in disguise since that means anyone can participate! Registration will open on 9th September on our website.
However, here are a few rules regarding the registrations:
- Every player must be 16 years old or more
- Each team must have at least 3 French native players
More details on the format and registration will be given very soon.
You can find a complete follow-up of the competition and its teams on the Mandatory website, as well as on our Twitter @MandatoryGG. If you want to participate, but are missing some mates, maybe you will find some on our Discord.
We will meet you on 9th September for the opening of registrations.
