KOI finalises its 2023 roster with starxo
During the month of December, the organisation KOI has announced the majority of its new roster. Thus, koldamenta, trexx, sheydos and Wolfen formed the core team for the VCT 2023. However, Valorant and the rules of the competition require that the structures have a total of five players. KOI therefore needed one last piece to complete its team. It finally turned to starxo, former 2021 world champion with Acend.
In 2023, KOI will participate in the EMEA League of the Valorant Champions Tour, alongside big names in European esports such as Fnatic, Vitality and Karmine Corp. They will all be looking to rise to the top of the region to secure a place at the only Masters of the year in Tokyo.
In order to put all the chances on their side, the franchise structures have unveiled rosters, each one stronger than the other, like Natus Vincere, which signed the majority of the ex-FunPlus Phoenix. The Spanish organisation, on the other hand, went in search of its new talents at M3C and Guild Esports, but also at HHT Spain. KOI has chosen to trust koldamenta, trexx, sheydos and Wolfen for this new competitive season.
Recently, it unveiled the latest player in its roster, who is none other than starxo. An efficient controller, he knows the ins and outs of top-level competition, and even more so, he knows the pressure of the ultimate showdown on Valorant. In 2021, he competed and won the first edition of the Valorant Champions under the banner of Acend.
He may not have had the chance to repeat the feat in 2022, but there is no doubt that he and his teammates will be looking to win this year. But before they go for the trophy and the title of World's Best Players 2023, they will be looking to dominate the first international tournament of the year, namely the LOCK//IN Brazil scheduled for next February in São Paulo.
