Karmine Corp leaves VRL for EMEA International League
Last May, the Karmine Corp made a smashing entrance on the Valorant esports stage. The roster entered the competition during the Split of 2 of the former VRL France, and quickly established himself as one of the best in France by reaching the playoff semi-finals. The organisation is now taking the next step, as from next year it will play in the top league, namely the new EMEA International League. The Karmine Corp is therefore one of the few EMEA teams for the year 2023, alongside Vitality, GIANTS or Fnatic in particular.
At the VRL, the inter-split saw some significant changes, including the appearance of the Karmine Corp on Riot Games' FPS. The structure joined the Valorant stage with Amilwa, TakaS, mikee, Newzera and Shin, five players who soon showed their talent.
In their very first match, they won 13-5 against BeGenius, and then had defeated our team 13-1 the following day. This new team won five successive matches without any real difficulties. It was not until the match against MAD Lions to see them falter. At the end of the regular season, the team accumulated 12 wins to 6 losses, results that were more than enough to reach the playoffs. There, they fell under the fire of Vitality during the semi-finals, thus obtaining the 3/4th place.
After a few months of competition, the season has come to an end for the Karmine Corp. The year 2023 will be full of new things for this young team. Recently, Kameto has confirmed live the participation of his roster in the EMEA International League ; a league in which it will now have to face international giants like Fnatic or Team Liquid. The team will also have to face other teams from the former VRL, such as Vitality or KOI.
The new version of the VCT will start between February and March with a major event: the Kickoff Tournament. All franchised teams will compete for several weeks. This will be an opportunity for the French to show the world what they are capable of!
