Fnatic recruits kamyk as sixth man for VCT 2023

Very recently, Fnatic, the European giant, unveiled the recruitment of Maks Rychlewski, aka kamyk, for the next edition of the VCT. The tour starts in just under a month now, with the LOCK//IN Brazil tournament. All the franchise teams will be present to try to win a first international title in 2023. This change in the roster follows the departure of Mistic, who has joined the brand new Apeks project, alongside the Frenchman Enzo.

For the past two years, Fnatic has been participating in the Valorant Champions Tour, and has established itself as one of the best structures in the EMEA region. Proof of this is that it won various European Challengers, participated in several Masters and reached the two editions of the Valorant Champions.

Three's a crowd, the English organisation has secured its place for the franchised league in the EMEA region. While they will still face some of the teams that were there last year, they will also have to deal with some newcomers who are determined to make it to the top, like Karmine Corp.

In order to put all the chances of victory on their side, Fnatic has put together a solid roster, composed of Boaster, Alfajer, Derke, Leo and most recently Chronicle. The 2023 regulation requires franchised teams to have six players available. Until recently, Mistic was the last member of the team. However, he took part in a new adventure in the Challengers Northern Europe, joining Team Apeks.

It is therefore in the person of kamyk that the structure has found its new replacement player. Experienced, he has played with Anonymo Esports in the VRL East: Surge in 2022, in which they won in Split 1. During the second Split, Maks Rychlewski played for UCAM Esports Club, he finished in 3/4th place in his team.

In the official statement associated with the announcement, the directors expressed their joy at welcoming this new player:

We’re excited to have Kamyk on board and happy to provide an environment where he can learn from one of the world’s top Valorant teams while continuing to develop his extremely promising skills and abilities.

This new mix of players will have the opportunity to shine for the first time in February at the LOCK//IN Brazil to be held at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil.
