Deadeye, a new Agent tease in Valorant's year 1 anthem

While the new Valorant Agent, KAY/O, has just been released, we already have potential information about the next Agent of Riot's FPS. Indeed, valuable clues can be found in the video of Valorant's year 1 anthem WATCH!

A suit, glasses and a gun

It's a habit for Riot Games to tease elements of its game via videos. Once again, it was necessary to be attentive to detect the clues among all the visual effects present in the clip, but it was worth it!

At the beginning of the video, we can first notice posters on the wall behind a desk, illustrating a mysterious character with glasses, well dressed and carrying a gun. If we look at some of the frames towards the end of the video, more detailed visuals are displayed, with the supposed Agent shown from different angles.

These screenshots give us some information about this agent. Indeed, the engraving on the weapon he is holding allows us to guess his name: Deadeye. It's a name that is also found in the game's code after patch 3.0 according to dataminer Floxay on Twitter.

We also notice that Deadeye carries a singular weapon, different from the ones you normally buy at the beginning of a round. This could be linked to one of the Agent's abilities, like Raze's bazooka or Jett's kunais.

An agent designed by August?

A little over a month ago, we learned that August was joining the Valorant team to create a new Agent. It's highly likely that this agent will be Deadeye, given the similarities with characters such as Jhin or Senna, who are League of Legends champions created by August.

For the moment, we have no more information about this potential new Agent and nothing has been confirmed by Riot. If Deadeye does turn out to be the next Agent of Valorant, he will probably be released at the same time as the Act 2 of Episode 3.
