A turnover at SuperMassive Blaze?

With the end of the VCT 2021, three players from SuperMassive Blaze have expressed their desire for a change. pAura, russ and Turko are looking for new opportunities..

History of SuperMassive Blaze

The Turkish organisation was formed in June. It is the result of the merger of SuperMassive Esports and Blaze Esports. This newly formed roster quickly made a name for itself last summer.

During the Challengers 1 of Turkey, Phase 3 of the VCT, the players were sent to the lower bracket by Oxygen Esports in the second round. After this defeat, they managed to make it all the way to the Grand Final. The organisation took its revenge on Oxygen Esports and won the tournament with a score of 3-1..

By emerging victorious, SuperMassive Blaze has qualified for the Challengers EMEA playoffs. The players proved to be efficient and won all their matches, sending G2 Esports and Acend in the lower bracket. Against Gambit Esports, the team didn't give up and even managed to win the first map 13 to 1. Unfortunately for SMB, the Russian team didn't give up either and ended up winning the match.

With this second place, they got their entry to the Berlin Masters, and thus participated in their first international LAN. Acend defeated the team twice and the second one was a knockout.

More recently, and thanks to their efforts, the SMB players participated in the CQL EMEA. They lost the first match and survived a round in the lower bracket, but the match against Futbolist put an end to their World Championship hopes.

A still active but unstable roster

The last match played during the LCQ probably sounded like one defeat too many in the minds of the players. So, pAura, ex-Heretics player and captain of SMB, and two of his teammates, russ and Turko, decided to look at the offers available on the Valorant scene.

No doubt these three talented players will find a place in a new organisation. It remains to be seen which will benefit from their respective skills!
