What is the MC Championship?

The MC Championship, better known by its abbreviation MCC, is one of the biggest monthly tournaments organised on the game of Notch, the first edition of which dates back to November 2019. Every month, content creators join forces in ten teams of fourto compete for the Champions title.

Participants compete in various mini-gamessuch as Battle Box and Ace Race, which focus on certain Minecraft skillslike survival or parkour. Each game earns coins. When all the rounds have been played, the two teams with the most money in their pockets face off in the final round of Dodgebolt, a unique bow-and-arrow mini-game.

The MCC comprises a strategic aspectAfter each round, teams vote for the next mini-game in the Decision Dome. But as the rounds go by, the loot obtained increases. You can then try to save the games you've mastered for the end, to win more coins and climb to the top of the leaderboard.

In addition, since 21 June 2023, a Minecraft server to test yourself on the mini-games, entitled MCC Islandis accessible to everyone. The address is available at the official website.

About the MC Championship Live ft. Minecraft

There have been special MC Championship events in the past, notably the MC Championship All-Stars and the Jingle Jam Championship, but none of them have been played live. That's the great novelty of the MC Championship Live ft. Minecraft, which will take place at TwitchCon 2023 in Las Vegas on 20 October. In addition, and this is the other new feature, there will be a cash prize for all participants. The cashprize is 50,000$.

As usual, the tournament will bring together a total of 40 playersdivided into different teams. You'll find the line-ups below. A special feature of this year's competition is that there will be no only six events, not eight as is normally the case. The six mini-games will be selected in the game pool ahead of the competition by the organisers.

Of course, you can follow the confrontations from the Twitch Rivals channeland on the streamers' respective channels.
