Welcome on our follow-up page of the Spring Tournament of the Valorant Open Tour France.

 

The Valorant Open Tour France is the official French-speaking circuit of Valorant, co-organised by Mandatory.GG and Webedia, in association with Riot Games France. It aims to highlight the best players from France, Belgium and Switzerland. The circuit consists of three qualifying tournaments culminating in a grand final at the end of the year. A total of €50,000 is at stake throughout the circuit.

 

The Spring Tournament of the Valorant Open Tour France which takes place from 8th to 23rd May 2021 is the first of three qualifying tournaments. It gathers 128 teams for a €10,000 cash prize.

The top three teams qualify directly for the grand final at the end of 2021.

 

The final stages of the tournament will be broadcast and commented on our Twitch channel : Mandatory ! For the occasion, we have a top-notch quintet composed of ZeratoR, Lutti, SuriPlay, Emash and Kiiper0ne. They will share with you their analysis and the most incredible moments of the competition.

SCHEDULE


The Spring Tournament will be held from 8th to 23rd May 2021.

 

Saturday 8th May – from 1pm: Swiss-system Rounds phase / 7 Rounds in BO1
Sunday 9th May – from 1pm: Winner Round 1 & 2, Loser Round 1 & 2
Saturday 15th May – from 4pm: Winner Round 3, Loser Round 3 & 4
Sunday 16th May – from 4pm: Semi Winner, Loser Round 5 & 6
Saturday 22nd May – from 5pm:Winner Final, Loser Round 6
Sunday 23rd May – from 3pm: Loser Final, Grand Final

FORMAT


The Spring Tournament of the Valorant Open Tour France is open to 128 teams. It takes place in two phases, spread over three weekends. 

 

Phase 1 – Saturday 8th May 2021
128 teams

 

The first phase is played in Swiss-system. Each team plays 7 matches in BO1 against teams selected according to their seed. The 32 best teams qualify for the rest of the tournament.

 

The top 32 teams are determined by the number of wins. In the event of a tie, the teams will be determined by the number of sets lost in the 7 matches of Phase 1.

 

In the event of a tie between two teams, they play each other in a BO1 tie-break.

 

Phase 2 – 9th, 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd May 2021
32 teams

 

The second phase is played in a double elimination bracket. Placement in the bracket is based on their results in the first phase. All matches are played in BO3 until the Winner semi-finals.

 

From the Winner semi-finals onwards, all matches will be played in BO5. The team that wins the Winner Final starts the Grand Final with a one point lead in the BO5.

 

The top 3 teams of the tournament qualify for the final tournament of the Valorant Open Tour France.


Distribution of the €10,000 cash prize :

  • 1st : €5,000
  • 2nd : €3,500
  • 3rd : €1,500

On the first weekend of the competition, players are free to broadcast their own POVs.
