Welcome on the tournament page of the VALORANT CUP of theOCCITANIE ESPORTS.

For the third year in a row, ESL Gaming France, Sud de France Arena and the Région Occitanie hold a major esports event: theOccitanie Esports. This year's edition includes a Valorant tournament that we are organising.

You'll find here all the useful information : registration, rules, list of validated teams, livestreams of the competition, tournament bracket.

The tournament takes place from September 20th to September 27th September 2020. (More details in the tab Schedule)
The winners of the tournament will earn a cashprize of €3,000.

For the occasion, we organise a French broadcast with ZeratoR, Lutti and Kiiper0ne.

SCHEDULE

The tournament will start on Sunday 20th September, until the Winners and Losers final.

The final stages will take place Thirsday 24th and Friday 25th September.

The Grand Final will take place on Sunday 27th September.

FORMAT

The competition is a tournament of 64 teams in single elimination.

The first rounds until the Winner and Loser finals will be played in BO1.

The Finales Winner et Loser are played in BO3.

The Grand Final is played in BO5. In the event of a tie in a match (12-12),overtime will be played.

The winning team will earn a cash prize of €3,000 €.

STAGE #1 –

The maps of the first phase are as follows: 

In the Winner Bracket:

• 32nd final : Bind
• 16th final : Ascent
• 8th final : Haven
• Quarter-final: Split
• Semi-final Bind

In the Loser Bracket:

The side of the map will be chosen randomly by a Discord bot.

STAGE #2 – WINNER AND LOSER FINALS

Regarding the finales Winner et Loser, the choice of the map will be decided according to the following instructions: 

• Team #2 bans one of the maps available
• MAP 1 : team #1 picks a first map to play on, team #2 picks the side
• MAP 2 : team #2 picks the second map to play on, team #1 picks the side
• MAP 3 (in case of a tie) : The last remaining map is played, the side being picked by the team with the fewest points. 

STAGE #3 – GRAND FINAL

Regarding the final, the instructions are as follows: 

• MAP 1 : team #1 picks a first map to play on, team #2 picks the side
• MAP 2 : team #2 picks the second map to play on, team #1 picks the side
• MAP 3 : team #1 picks a first map to play on, team #2 picks the side
• MAP 4 : The last remaining map is played, team #1 picks the side
• MAP 5 (in case of a tie) : The last map is selected randomly, as well as the side.

REGISTRATION

To register for the VALORANT CUP of theOCCITANIE ESPORTS, please read carefully and respect the instructions of this page.

Here are a few rules regarding the registration:

• Every player must be at least 16 years old to participate in the tournament.
• Each team must play its matches with at least 3 French native players.
• Each player must have reached at least Platinum 1
• Consult the full tournament rules.

STEP 1: Choose a captain and register the team

The team captain will have to handle the pre-registration by going to the dedicated tournament page and by clicking on the button "register as a captain".

They will be asked to log in using a Twitch ID. Once connected, the captain will be redirected to the registration form.

After entering this information, they will be asked to enter their team name, their TAG, as well as a password of their choice, which will allow other players of the team to pre-register as well. Please note that we're talking about a password that only the team will know, keep it safe!

When it's finished, they will see a confirmation page, inviting them to contact their teammates, to register on their side. An email will be sent too (he could arrive in max one hour).

STEP 2: Register the other players

Once the captain has received his/her confirmation email or was able to check the confirmation page, the team is officially created.

The 4 remaining players can then start their own pre-registration process for the team to successfully validate its registration.

To that end, every player on the team must:

• Go on the dedicated tournament page and click on the registration button
• Select his/her team in the folding menu and enter the team’s password chosen by the captain
• Fill the information in the form and validate

Each player will see a confirmation page, saying the preregistration is okay. An email will be sent too (he could arrive in max one hour).

Be aware though, a team that is still incomplete by Thirsday 17th September will not be eligible and therefore won’t be included in the selection process.

STEP 3: Team selection

The teams selected will be the first teams registered and those who meet the above conditions. The selected teams will receive an email to confirm their registration for the Occitanie Esports Valorant Cup. This email will contain the link of the Discord of the tournament that you must join to ensure the smooth running of the competition.

The selected teams will be announced on the website and on the Mandatory.GG Twitter account.

If you want to stream the competition of Twitch and you haven't filled in the relevant boxes of the form, don't worry. You can broadcast the tournament. We recommend that you apply a delay of at least 1 minute. However, you will be asked to display the competition logo on your live (it will be provided on the tournament Discord).
