Poltchageist the new Pokémon in the Turquoise Mask DLC for Pokémon Violet and Scarlet

In a video, The Pokémon Company has just revealed Poltchageista brand new teapot-shaped Pokémon. You'll be able to meet it in the region of Septentria thanks to additional content. Turquoise Mask of Pokémon Violet and Scarlet.

This video tells us the story of an ancient tea masterwho spent his life perfecting the tea ceremony. His exacting standards earned him a bad reputation over the years, so much so that eventually no-one wanted to keep him company. He died in solitude, leaving only his tea pot as a memento.

After years out of circulation, sitting at the back of a warehouse, the master's tea pot spontaneously awoke and transformed: it was now a real Pokémon! Known as Poltchageist, it is of the Plant and Spectrum type. Of course, the name is reminiscent of Polthegeist, a Pokémon Spectre that appeared in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

This trailer doesn't give us any concrete information about the creature's abilities. However, various elements of the video may provide clues. At 2 minutes 45 seconds, we learn that the powder sprayed by Poltchageist has drained the woman of her life force. This could give him an attack similar to that of Vampigraine or Giga-Sangsue. which is not impossible given that he is a plant type.

What's more, at the end of the trailer we see that the people attending the presentation are falling asleep one after the other, as if under some kind of spell. In fact, we discover a few seconds later that Poltchageist is no stranger to their sudden tiredness. So it's possible that this new Pokémon could be using an Attack like Papilusion's famous Sleeping Powder.

Poltchageist should be available in Turquoise MaskThe first volume of Pokémon Violet and Scarlet's Hidden Treasure of the Zero Zone DLC. As a reminder, this additional content will be released on 13 September.
