Getting Pondralugon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The DLC The Buried Treasure of the Zero Zone of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet brings some new Pokémonlike Pomdorochi or Pondralugon. In this guide, we explain how to obtain one. There's nothing very complicated about it, as all you have to do is evolve a Duralugon!


Capturing a Duralugon in Terra Dome

Duralugon is a Steel and Dragon-type Pokémon. Use ground and combat attacks to weaken it. Be careful not to knock it out, as the aim here is to capture it. Normally, you should be able to capture it with a Superball or a Hyperball.


Finding Composite Metal in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple

There is only one way to turn Duralugon into Pondalugron: you need a Metal Composite. It's easy to do if you have some to hand, but if you don't, you need to get one first.

  • Method 1 - Buy Composite Metal in the Institute shop. The metal is on sale for 300 Blueberry Points.
  • Method 2 - Find Composite Metal in the Electrolith Cavern. There's a piece of it inside a Pokéball, lying on the ground near a cluster of crystals. To find your way around, look for the teracrystallised Porygon - it's right next to the blue crystals.
  • Method 3 - How to get 190 Pokémon in the Pokédex from the Institut Myrtille. You will automatically receive metal once the task has been completed.

From Duralugon to Pondralugon

Now that you have Composite Metal in your possession, you can upgrade your Duralugon. To do this, open your inventory, select Composite Metal, then use it on Duralugon. Before you know it, he'll be a Pondralugon!

Pondralugon is also a Pokémon Dragon and Steel type. It has a brand new special attack called Fulgurayonwhich is of Electrik type. It inflicts damage after a round of charging, but Pondralugon can cast Fulgurayon without needing to charge it if it's raining on the pitch.
