Getting the Ancient Starters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet - Indigo Disc DLC

We have known for a long time that it is possible to obtain older generation Starters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet thanks to the DLC The Indigo Disc. However, they are not directly available when you start this adventure. We'll explain how to make them appear in the Terra Dome, and where to find them.

Unlocking Starters

To get the chance to capture the old Starters, you need to unlock their appearance. To do this, you must first gain access to the League Club. This room has a computer that can be used to send Myrtilles Points (PM) to different students at the Institute.

If this is your case, go to the Club room and turn on the computer. The quests available include Dome Club questsproposed by Domi. They improve the four zones of the Terra-Dôme.

To unlock Starters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must complete the Dome Club quests

Here are the four quests that interest us in this guide:

  • Biodiversity of the Polar Zone - Cost: 3,000 MP
    • Reward: New species appear in this zone, including Starters.
  • Biodiversity in the Canyon Zone - Cost: 3,000 MP
    • Reward: New species appear in this zone, including Starters.
  • Biodiversity of the Polar Zone - Cost: 3,000 MP
    • Reward: New species appear in this zone, including Starters.
  • Biodiversity of the Polar Zone - Cost: 3,000 MP
    • Reward: New species appear in this zone, including Starters.

So you need a total of 12,000 MP to unlock access to all former Starters. That's a pretty hefty sum. We recommend that you do Club Union quests with more than one person to earn points more quickly.

It's also possible to capture a Starter from a friend who has already unlocked an area you don't have. This way, you don't have to unlock every zone.
