Get Mew and Mewtow in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet

At the most recent Pokémon Presents, The Pokémon Company revealed a number of details about the following titles Pokémon Violet and Scarlet. Among the new features, we have learned that Mew would be available in-game thanks to a Mystery Gift code, but also that players could soon face off against Mewtow in a unique teracrystal raid.

Two Legendary Pokémon, Mew and Mewtow, will soon be the subject of a special event entitled Get Mew and Mewtow in Pokémon Violet and Scarlet. Mew will be available free of charge through the Mystery Gifts menu in the Poké Portal. To add it to your team, simply enter the following code: GETY0URMEW (this is a zero and not the letter o). This code is already active and will remain so until Monday 18 September at 14:59 UTC.

The Pokémon Company has also stated that each Mew distributed would be completely unique. As a result, your Mew will not have the same Teratype, nature or skills (Meteors, Wall of Light, Fountain of Life, etc.) as those of another player. As you can see, Mew comes in a number of rather attractive versions. Note that he will be level 5 when you buy it.

This special event isn't just about Mew, since Mewtow is also part of the game. To get your hands on him, you'll have to fight him to the end! This other legendary being will be accessible in a Teracrist Raid level 7, available from Friday 1st September from 00:00 UTC to Sunday 17 September 2023 until 23:59 UTC.

Note that the fight will definitely not be any easier, since it will have the Powerful Badge. But it's well worth the fight: if you can defeat it, you'll have a chance of capturing it. The Pokémon Company also strongly recommends that you use Mew as part of your team when raiding Mewtow. Doing so will trigger a special event.
