The games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet seront disponibles dès le 18 novembre et dévoileront la 9th generation Pokémon. So expect to see a lot of new little creatures coming to your Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet starters
As with all new Pokémon games, Pokémon Violet and Scarlet features three starters of the Plant, Fire and Water types. We present them to you in this article.
Poussacha

Poussacha is the starter for type Plant. It is endowed with the Fertilizer talent.
The rubbing of the paws of this little cat gives off a sweet smell that fascinates all beings and is reputed to have therapeutic virtues.
The composition of its coat is close to that of plants and allows it to store energy thanks to the sun's rays. As a result, it licks itself regularly to promote photosynthesis.
Its developments are not yet known.
Chochodil

Chochodil is the starter for Fire type. He has the talent of Blaze.
The scales on its back and belly allow it to absorb heat and produce energy. The excess energy he produces is transformed into flames that shoot out of his head. The happier he is, the bigger the flames.
Its developments are not yet known.
Headdress

Headdress is the starter for Water type. He has the Torrent talent.
Thanks to its feathers, it can secrete a gel that repels water and dirt. Its Elvis Presley-like hairstyle is made possible by a rich, moist cream that allows it to press the feathers on its head back. He has to do this regularly, otherwise they become shaggy.
Coiffeton has powerful legs that help him to swim easily even in waters with strong currents. They also allow him to defeat his opponents at full speed.
Its developments are not yet known.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet legends
We have already introduced you to the legendary games in our article on the differences between Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Nevertheless, a short presentation is also necessary here.
Koraidon

Koraidon is the Pokémon Scarlet Legendary and it is not yet known what type it will be. Its appearance is primitive and it strongly resembles a feathered dinosaur. It has a wheel on its thorax, although it is not functional.
Once you've caught Koraidon, you can take him out of his Pokéball and go on an adventure with him to explore Paldea. Get on its back and move around the area by running, swimming, flying or even climbing.
Miraidon

Miraidon is the Pokémon Violet Legendary and we don't know yet what type it will be. Unlike Koraidon, it has a very futuristic look, reminiscent of a dragon or snake robot. It has two reactors, attached to its back.
Once caught, you can take it out of its Pokéball and climb on its back to make it the perfect Poké-mount. It will then take you anywhere, whether it's running, swimming, flying or climbing.
New Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Of course, a new generation doesn't just bring new starters or new legendaries, it also brings a whole host of new Pokémon. We'll introduce you to them below.
Balbalèze

Balbalèze is a Pokémon from Ice type who lives in snowy places. It has the talents of Isograisse and Chasse-Neige. Its appearance is similar to that of a whale with legs and its impressive build allows it to launch very powerful physical attacks.
It is a Pokémon with five horns, one of which is on its jaw, which allows it to store energy to lower the temperature of its environment and thus freeze everything around it.
Motorizard

Motorizard is a Pokémon that has a double Dragon and Normal type and is endowed with the Moult talent. It is one of the Poké-montures and can carry people on its back. The body heat of its passengers is very useful to it as it protects it from the cold.
It is equipped with a full new capacity called Queulonage. It allows it to sacrifice some HP to create a clone. Once this is done, it returns to its Pokéball and swaps places with another Pokémon in the team.
Pâtachiot

Pâtachiot is a Pokémon from Fairy type with the Tempo Perso talent. His skin is elastic, so it is both firm and flexible. To intimidate his opponents, he inflates his body to appear more imposing.
Its breath contains yeast which enables it to ferment the food it breathes on.
Tag-Tag

Tag-Tag is a Pokémon that has a double type Poison and Normal and has the appearance of a small monkey. It has the talents of Unloading and Toxitouche. It lives at night, and when night falls, it licks its hands with a toxic substance. It then draws patterns on trees to attract Insect Pokémon.
It also uses this toxic saliva to attack its enemies by scratching or spitting at them. If they are hit, they are paralysed.
Farigiraf

Farigiraf is the evolution of a Pokémon that we already know well: Girafarig. It has the double type Normal and Psy and has the appearance of a giraffe.
As a result of his evolution, the black head of his tail and his main head have merged. This synchronisation strengthens her psychic powers, allowing her to emit waves through her antennae. Her second head also acts as a protective helmet for her main head when she closes her jaw. Farigiraf can thus inflict heavy physical damage by hitting her enemies with her head.
This Pokémon brings two new talents to the game : Ruminant and Caudal Armour. Ruminant allows a Pokémon to eat a berry a second time after having already consumed it on the previous turn. Caudal Armor, on the other hand, prevents opposing Pokémon from using priority abilities.
Craparoi

Craparoi is a Pokémon from Roche type which has the rather basic appearance of a crab. It has two large bulging eyes that it can turn in any direction. As a result, it can cover all blind spots. To trap its prey, it positions itself on cliffs upside down to surprise them.
It captures its victims with its claws and then squeezes them very tightly so that they cannot escape. In some areas of Paldea, Crabaroi claws are a popular cooking ingredient for the locals.
Crabaroi brings with him a a new talent called Wrath. If he has less than half his hit points after suffering an attack, he becomes enraged. He then lowers his Defence and Special Defence but increases his Attack, Special Attack and Speed. He also possesses the already known Armour Hull talent.
Gourmelet

Gourmelet is a Pokémon from type Normal whose physique is that of a pig. He has the talents Aroma-Voile and Gluttony.
It has an excellent sense of smell, which it uses to search for food. Its eating habits give it a particular body odour that scares away insect Pokémon.
Axoloto de Paldea

Axoloto de Paldea is one of the new Pokémon, although it looks exactly like the second-generation Axoloto. It differs in its brown colour and types. While Axoloto is a Water and Ground type, Paldea's Axoloto is a Water and Poison. He also has the talents Poison Point and Water Absorber.
Its body is covered with a thin toxic film so that it does not dry out. It can poison its enemies by spraying a toxic liquid from its gills.
Pohm

Pohm is a small Pokémon from Électrik typewhich has the Statik and Medic Nature talents. It is THE ninth-generation Electrik Mouse Pokémon.
Like his ancestor Pikachu, Pohm has pockets on his cheeks in which he stores electricity. This electricity is then projected by his cheek pads. To attack, he rubs his cheeks and electrocutes his opponents by touching them.
Olivini

Olivini is an olive Pokémon that has a double type Plant and Normal. It has the Matinal talent. It is a rather timid Pokémon that sprays oil on its head at its opponents to slow them down and then flee.
It is mainly found in fairly dry and sunny areas, as it uses photosynthesis to create its oil.
Taupikeau

Taupikeau also looks like a Pokémon we already know well: Taupikeau. Unlike its G-type cousin, Taupikeau is a type Water. He has the talents of Poisonous and Phobic.
It is a rather timid Pokémon that, as soon as it smells another Pokémon, immediately buries itself in the ground to hide.
Ampibidou

Ampibidou is a Pokémon from Électrik type. By extending and contracting its elastic body, it can create energy from the yellow organ on its belly. This organ is able to create a phenomenal amount of electricity which is then projected by the two organs on the sides of his head which look like eyes. Yes, because his real eyes are small and yellow and are located in the centre of his face, just above his mouth.
Ampibidou comes into the game with a new talent that is Grecharge. This allows him to charge himself with electricity when attacked, increasing the power of his next Electrik ability. He also has the Statik talent.
Allombe

Allombe is a Pokémon from Spectrum type who has the talent of Picking up. He is a small white dog who likes to bury himself by just letting the candle on his head stick out. If a person comes near him, he jumps out of the ground with a frightening cry.
It is described as the most friendly and affectionate Pokémon in Paldea. If someone gives it a little attention, it will not hesitate to stick it for a long time. However, Toutombe can also be dangerous as it unwittingly sucks the life energy out of people around it.
Carmadura

Carmadura is a Pokémon exclusive to the Scarlet version and has a double type Fire and Psy. He has the Torch talent.
This Pokémon is equipped with armour inherited from a warrior soul. It draws energy from this armor to use its Psy-type abilities. It also allows him to control the fire energy that animates him. He regularly uses this armour to reinforce his defence.
Carmadura is introduced with a new special ability called Armoured Cannon. This one is of the Fire type and allows him to send a flaming cannonball. However, its use leads to a drop in its Defence and Special Defence.
Malvalame

Malvalame is a Pokémon exclusive to the Violet version and has a double type Fire and Spectre. Like Carmadura, he has the Torch talent.
He has old armour and wields energy-filled blades of the Fire and Spectre type. When he enters combat, these blades become swords and allow him to increase his power.
Malvalame is introduced with a a new physical ability called Blade of Sorrow. This one is of the Fire type and allows him to slash his enemies to absorb their vital energy. It then restores its HP to half the damage suffered by the target.
Mordudor

Mordudor is a Pokémon from Spectrum typewho has the Phobic talent. This little being is mischievous and manipulative. It is capable of forcing other Pokémon, but also humans, to bring it gold coins.
The image above shows the Chest of Mordudor form. There is a second one, entitled the Walk form. In this new state, Mordudor no longer hides in a chest, but walks around Paldea with a coin on his back. Agile and above all very timid, Mordudor is able to flee at high speed when he feels threatened.
