Zone Zero - Solution Part 30 - Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Continuation of the solution to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet With this part 30 you will enter Zone Zero and finish the main scenario of this opus.

In this section we will:

  • Joining the Zero Zone
  • Unlocking the observation posts
  • Disabling the Zero Lab time machine
  • Fighting Olim AI or Turum AI

Joining the Zero Zone

After facing Cassiopeia, whom we will call Pania for the rest of this guide, we advise you to leave for Mezclamora in the West Zone n°3. You will find the gateway to the Zero Zone below this city. Before you enter Zone Zero, you'll want to stock up on healing potions to restore your Pokémon's health or remove damage. When you use the portal to reach the centre of the crater, you will receive the objective Back to the roots.

Unlocking the observation posts

Once in the Portal, you are contacted again by Olim or Turum, who asks you to go down to Zone Zero. Approach the door and use the mount ability Glider. Once you are downstairs, Olim or Turum will explain your new objective: you must unlock four observation posts. To do this, you'll need to explore the area, so take the opportunity to pick up Pokéballs hidden around. You'll find many TCs, including earthquakehidden in a cave.

First post of the Zero Zone

Floréclat is of type Rock / Poison

You quickly come across the first observation post and see that the access is well guarded: a Floréclatlevel 62, stands in your way. To continue your journey, you must defeat it. We recommend a G-type Pokémon to easily defeat it. The battle shouldn't be too complex, since Menzi also sends his Lougaroc level 62.

After the fight, enter the building and deactivate the first lock.

Second post of the Zero Zone

Howl-Tail - Pokémon Violet and Scarlet
Howl-Tail is a Fairy / Psyche type
Ironhound - Pokémon Violet and Scarlet
Hotte-de-Fer is of type Ice / Water

Continue down the valley to find the next observation post. Depending on your version of the game, the guardian of this second building will differ: it is either of a Howler level 62, i.e. of a Hotte-de-Fer level 62. This fight is done in duo with Pania and its Noctali level 62. Choose the Insect, Spectre, Darkness, Steel and Poison types if you're facing Howl-Tail, and the Rock and Steel types if you're facing Iron-Hot.

After the battle, your group wonders about this mysterious Pokémon. Olim or Turum contacts you again and explains that some of the Pokémon in this area come from the future or from the distant past. He or she also reveals to you the existence of a time machine in Laboratory Zero; an instrument that has caused these Pokémon to travel to your timeline.

You can now Unlock the lock in the observation post. After a short discussion, Pepper gives you the Purple or Scarlet Book, which you will need later in the adventure.

Third post of the Zero Zone

The next station is a little further down in Zone Zero. This time you are attacked by a Fort-Ivoire or a Roue-de-Ferlevel 62. After Menzi, then Pania, it's Pepper who comes to your aid for this third battle. Your comrade sends his Dogrino level 63 in combat. To defeat Black Fort, we recommend water and flight attacks, and to knock down Ironwheel, water and ground attacks.

A discussion ensues which reveals that your Miraidon or Koraidon is indeed a Pokémon from another time and that it arrived thanks to the time machine. Then go to the control panel and break the third lock.

Fourth post of the Zero Zone

To find the last observation post, enter the caveYou will have to go to a nearby post and descend even deeper into the crater. When you arrive at the post, there is no fighting. You can unlock the last lock directly. The connection with Olim or Turum is interrupted and you realise that the character who has been talking to you for some time is nothing other than a robot.

You must now reach the Laboratory, which is below your current position. A wild Miraidon or Koraidon enters and opens the door to the laboratory. You then come across several PokémonYou have to beat them to progress through the building. The Pokémon you encounter may be different from those listed below.

For the first fight, Menzi sends his Lougaroc. In the second one you get help from Pania and her Noctali. Pepper participates in the third confrontation with his Dogrino. We advise you to use Insect attacks against Fungus-Fury, while you should use Ground and Flight attacks against Iron-Palm. For Wicker-Fleet, you need Spectre and Steel attacks, while Rock and Water attacks should help you defeat Ironheads easily.

At the end of the last battle, Pepper offers to contain the rest of the Pokémon that took you on. You can now enter the Laboratory. You then meet Olim or Turum and see that it is indeed a machine. We will call it Olim IA or Turum IA now.

During your exchange you receive your next mission: to stop the research in Zone Zero by deactivating the time machine.

Disabling the time machine

Take the lift to join the machine. Use this time to learn more about the Professor's motives and the Pokémon in Zone Zero. Then approach the time machine.

Olim AI or Turum AI tells you that you may have to fight him as soon as you place the book in the base. It's time for a final battle!

Fight against Olim AI

After your fight, your comrades join you and The Defence of Paradise Programme gets underway. The battle isn't quite over yet... You still have to beat Miraidon or Koraidon. Unfortunately, you can't send your Pokémon because all the Pokéballs are locked. So, for the first time, your mount joins the fight. Have some potions ready to heal him. If the fight seems complex, just hold on until you unlock Teracrystallisation. Then you can easily finish it.

When this is done, the AI explains that it wants to gain its freedom and discover this other temporality. Olim AI or Turum AI flies away and eventually disappears. You have just complete the main story. This is the beginning of the Pokémon Violet or Scarlet post-game!
