Ignition : T1 x Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT Showdown

Valorant Showdown, an American tournament of $50,000

18th June 2020 – 6:54pm

Riot Games unveiled the first form of its competitive circuit earlier this week in the form of the Valorant Ignition Series. Il s’agit de tournois hebdomadaires tout autour du monde. L’Europe et le Japon ouvrent le bal dès demain avec le G2 Esports Invitational and the RAGE New Generation E-sports. Americans will join the party next week with a tournament organised by T1 and Nerd Street Gamers : the Valorant Showdown.

If the format of G2 Esports guarantees fun encounters, T1 and Nerd Gamers are not here to joke. They put on the table no less than $50,000 cash prize and invite all teams, professional and amateurs, to try their luck.

Before the tournament itself, two qualifiers open to all will take place on the weekend of 20th and 21th June. The top four teams will qualify for the Valorant Showdown that will take place from 26th to 28th June.

The event will of course be entirely streamed on Twitch, although it's not yet known on which channel. We are promised exclusive interviews with members of Riot Games and T1.

It's undoubtedly the biggest Valorant tournament held to date on American soil and the show promises to be there.

If you play on NA servers, you can register on the dedicated page.
