The star player of the Sentinels, Jay " Sinatraa " Won will not be participating in this weekend's next VCT stage, the Valorant Masters. This is a decision made by Riot Games following accusations of sexual assault against the player.
In a series of message, Sinatraa's ex-girlfriend reveals her relationship with the player and the way he treated her, with records to prove it. Her accusations are taken very seriously by Riot Games and Sentinels. Both have opened investigations to assess the veracity of such statements.
Pending the outcome of these investigations, Sinatraa is not allowed to participate in the official Valorant competition. The decision was announced by Alex François, Valorant's Global Head of Competitive Operations, on the french Twitter account . The player has not spoken since the charges were launched.
According to the rules of the Valorant Champions Tour, Sentinels is not allowed to recruit a substitute who is already playing for another team that has participated in the competition. As most of the top players have already participate in the VCT, it might be rather difficult to find a fifth player.
As a reminder, Sentinels is one of the top teams in North America. They have qualified for the Valorant Masters NA and are scheduled to play against Luminosity Gaming tomorrow. Whether they win or lose that game, they will have to play at least one more game without Sinatraa this week.
