This week was held the G2 Esports European Brawl II, the last major international Valorant tournament before the end of the beta. Players competed for a €10,000 cash prize. The particularity of the tournament was to bring together different pro players and different streaming personalities like Gotaga or Ocelote, before grouping them by nationality within the different teams.
An interesting concept, but it seems to have reach its limits since it’s ultimately Team ScreaM who wins, the only international team in the tournament.
If France, England or Sweden have no trouble bringing together 5 players of the same nationality, there were only two Belgians to represent the country. ScreaM, captain of the Belgian team and player of Prodigy, formed the “Team Scream" with his compatriot davidp. They added in their team JEROME, another Prodigy player, but also ec1s and ardiis, two Englishmen from fish 123 who chain victories at each tournament they attend.
Despite the language barrier, bringing together players from the best European teams has inevitably produced explosive results. They won after beating the Germany in the quarter-finals. Their match was closer against the United Kingdom, which had 3 other fish123 players. Finally, the finals against Finland ended after two expeditious matches.
