After initially announcing that Breeze would be playable at the Masters 2 in Reykjavik, Riot has reversed its decision. The new map of Valorant will therefore not be present at the first international LAN tournament of Riot's FPS.
From the beginning, having Breeze at the Masters 2 did not convince the Valorant players and for good reason: the teams would have had less than a month to train and prepare their strategies on this map. Given the complexity of Breeze and the time available, the teams that qualified for the Masters 2 in Reykjavik would have been far from perfect on the heavenly map.
Since that initial announcement, Riot has listened to and discussed with professional gamers before deciding to remove Breeze from the map rotation of the next Masters. No tropical islands will be used for the Masters which we will be played on Bind, Haven, Split, Ascent and Icebox. The map selection should be similar or even identical to the one we know so far.
This decision is a relief for the teams qualified for the next Masters. Everyone will be able to prepare their game plans on Breeze for Phase 3 of the Valorant Champions Tour, which will surely have some surprises in store given the uniqueness of this new map compared to the others.
