We didn't even dare to wait for them, but here they are! 24 hours before the launch of the Valorant Champions Tour, Fnatic is launching into Valorant and recruits the players of SUMN FC.
The arrival of Fnatic on the Valorant stage was no doubt, but the organisation's silence on the subject for nearly a year was rather surprising. This legendary organisation, as well known for its feats of arms on Counter-Strike as on League of Legends couldn't miss the game which unites, in a way, these two disciplines.
The organisation has recruited the players of SUMN FC, one of the few top-level teams that had not yet turned professional. SUMN FC have made a name for themselves at the Valorant First Strike. Not content with qualifying for the final tournament in the first week, they reached the final of the biggest European tournament in Valorant to date.
It must be said that the mechanical and tactical talents of these players have done wonders throughout the tournament. In particular, the innovative strategies of Mistic on his Viper. We will also remember their victory against FunPlus Phoenix, yet given largely winners.
SUMN FC recently participated in the Home Ground by Red Bull, where they fell to Team Liquid after a hotly contested BO5. It was ultimately their last game under that name, but also a last practice in real conditions before the Champions Tour.
We will therefore find the new Fnatics for their first match romorrow, in the first Valorant Challengers EU.
