MultiVersus Patch Notes 1.04
Halloween is coming to MultiVersus and who better than the infamous Stripe to bring terror to the field? In this patch 1.04The new game features a new playable character, a new map, a Halloween event, numerous skins and of course a host of character modifications.
Stripe joins MultiVersus
Stripethe leader of the Gremlins is ready to wreak havoc in MultiVersus! This assassin will slice through the bacon, whether with his claws or his chainsaw. A skin in reference to Gizmo's Rambo costume is also available.
A new map in beta
A new map will be available in a few days. It can only be played in custom games for the time being as it is still in the testing phase. The developers are looking forward to any feedback on this new battle arena.
A special Halloween event
From 15 October to 15 November there is a Halloween event on MultiVersus. Each game makes you win sweetsa special currency only available during the event. You earn more candy if you have a Halloween skin or a skin on Gizmo or Stripe. Exchange your candy for various Halloween-themed rewards.
Game mechanics
Inifini anti-combo system - Established in the Patch 1.03This system will now weaken attacks when you use the same attack 3 times in a combo, instead of 4 times. As a reminder, the goal is to push players to create more creative combos rather than to trap the opponent in the same attack sequence.
Dodge cooldown - The dodge gauge in MultiVersus fills up so quickly that it might as well not exist. In order to give more importance to this gauge and to encourage players to use dodges more thoughtfully, the dodge will now recharge more slowly.
Character balancing in patch 1.04
As always, the patch changes many characters in MultiVersus. To make it easier to understand the changes, we put a different symbol to symbolize the type of change.

- = a nerve

Arya
* Knife bug: Fixed a bug where Arya's teleportation on her knife lodged in the back of a downed opponent would propel her into the void and kill her.
* Face Bug : Fixed a bug that caused players to get out of sync when stealing an opponent's face.
+ Special High Ground/Air : Opponents now only have 70% of influence on retreat, instead of 100%. (This is a temporary test.)
+ Special Ground/Air side : The dash on the knife hits more easily the opponents far away.
+ High Air Attack: The first move should no longer interrupt Arya's combos.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 7s instead of 6s.

Batman
- Air Side Attack: Batman must wait an additional 5 frames after the attack is launched before he can dodge or cancel the blow.
- Air Side Attack: The second stroke of the attack hits more often if the first stroke hits.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 7s instead of 6s.

Finn
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 7s instead of 6s.

Garnet
+ Neutral Ground Attack : Garnet no longer takes damage when you hit his fists or arms.
+ High Ground/Air Attack : Garnet no longer takes damage when you hit his fists or arms.
+ Ground Side Attack : Garnet no longer takes damage when you hit his fists or arms on the first strike.
+ High Air Special : Increased vertical propulsion to make the attack more effective and help Garnet get back on the field.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharge time is 6s instead of 3.5s.

Iron Giant
* Emotes bug: Fixed a bug that prevented emotes from being visible.
* Bolt bug: Fixed a bug where bolts were considered projectiles and could therefore be destroyed by anti-projectile attacks like Wonder Woman's shield.
* The Giant is no longer a wall: Enemies thrown at the Iron Giant would bounce off it as if it were a wall. This created a lot of bugs and the mechanic was removed.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 9s instead of 6s.

Gizmo
- Special Flooring : The car does no more damage if Gizmo is ejected.
- Special Flooring : The car has to reach a minimum speed of 1400 before it can do any damage, compared to the previous 800.
- Special High Ground/Air : Time to attach to an ally increased to 15s instead of 9s. On an ally's back, hits suffered by the ally reduce the time Gizmo can spend attached to the ally.
- Low Ground/Air Attack: Attached to an ally, the piano attack takes longer to come out and has a longer recovery time.
+ Special Neutral Ground/Air : It now takes 7s for the song debuff to start fading, instead of 5s.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 9s instead of 6s.

Harley
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 7s instead of 6s.

Jake
- Neutral Air Attack: Addition of 4 frames of whiff.
- Air Side Attack: Addition of 3 frames of whiff.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 7s instead of 6s.

LeBron
* Emotes bug: Fixed a bug that prevented LeBron from canceling his emotes.
- Special Floor/Air Neutral : The radius of the explosion when passing to an ally is reduced.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 7s instead of 6s.

Morty
- Special Low Ground/Air : Timing for saving an ally reduced to 4s instead of 5s. Recovery time increased to 42s instead of 38s.
- Neutral Ground/Air Attack: The projection of opponents is now limited to a maximum of 3 (previously no limit).
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 9s instead of 6s.

Rick
* Special Ground/Air side: Improved portal positioning and teleportation.
* High Ground Attack: Improved visual effects to match the whip hitboxes.
- Special High Ground : Added 3 frames of whiff. Damage multiplier reduced to 1.5x from 2x.
- Special High Air : Reduced the projection multiplier of the charged attack to 1.25x from 1.5x.
- Special Low Ground/Air : Projection multiplier for transformed enemies reduced to 1.5x from 2x.
- Air Side Attack: Reduction of the projection to 1350 from 1400.
- Neutral Ground/Air Attack: The gun now has 2 rounds of ammunition. Rick gets one round every 8 seconds. The aim is to discourage players who spend their time running away.

Sammy
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 6s instead of 3.5s.

Steven Universe
- Travel speed : Reduced to 2075 from 2175.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 6s instead of 3.5s.

Superman
- Special High Air : Reduction of the projection to a distance of 675 instead of 450.
+ Special Low Air : The laser now has 3 charges instead of 2 and each laser recharges every 10 seconds.
- Air Side Attack: Reduction of the projection to 1100 from 1200. Reduction of the projection multiplier of the loaded shot from 1.25x to 1.5x.
- Neutral Air Attack: Reduction of the projection to 1100 from 1200.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 6s instead of 2.5s.

Tom & Jerry
+ Low Ground Attack : Reduction of the cancel timing by 3 frames in case of a successful attack.
+ Jerry : Jerry now has 9 VPs instead of 10 VPs.
- Dodging Recharge: Recharging is done in 9s instead of 6s.

Vera
* Frozen bug : Fixed a bug where ice was applied to enemies who had left the frozen puddle. Fixed a bug that allowed ice to accumulate indefinitely.
- Special Air/Ground Neutral : Beam recovery time to 6s instead of 8s.
- Special High Air : Addition of 3 frames of whiff.
- Special Côté Air : The attack is reduced by 2 frames to match its visual effect.
- Travel speed : Vera moves to 2050 instead of 2100.
The patch will be deployed on Wednesday 12 October between 6pm and 8pm.
