Weaknesses of the Kushala Daora
How to beat the Kushala Daora
The Kushala Daora is a fearsome monster, all metal and constantly surrounded by a storm of ice. Its steel skin forces you to use very sharp weapons, otherwise your blows will bounce back. Choose white blades to hurt him.
The storm surrounding the Kushala Daora does continuous ice damage to anyone who gets too close to it during its movements and attacks. When enraged, his storm covers a wider radius and does more damage. Keep a close eye on your HP during combat, even if you never get hit by a direct attack.
This storm disappears completely if the Kushala Daora is poisoned. This is why you will always find poisoned kunais in the mission chest if you are asked to hunt this monster. Weapons that naturally inflict poison or capturing a Rathian to take advantage of its poisoned tip also work, of course.
The Chameleos is the natural enemy of the Kushala Daora. Its equipment cancels storm damage while extending the duration of the poisoning it suffers.
As for the Kushala Daora's attacks, be extremely careful of its wing and mouth movements. It can unleash multiple ice tornadoes that travel long distances or shoot ice balls at breakneck speed.
Don't go in like a bully and choose your attack timing carefully against the Kushala Daora. It is advisable to always keep a Filopter at your disposal to dodge. On the other hand, if the Kushala hits you with a tornado, do not use the recovery of the Filopter as it removes your invincibility and you will only take another hit from the tornado.
Don't hesitate to take as many Flash Bombs as possible when you go into battle. He is extremely sensitive to them as soon as he is off the ground. This will give you the best opportunity to hit his head, which is usually too high to reach.
