How to beat the Jyuratodus

The Jyuratodus is a monster that draws its power from the surrounding mud. When it is out of the mud and standing on its two legs, it is very slow and cannot really attack you. This is one of the best opportunities to do damage to it.

But the real fight takes place when the Jyuratodus is submerged in the mud. From there, it will circle you like a shark before jumping on you or giving you quick, powerful mouthfuls. It can also throw mud from its mouth and tail. Like the Barroth, you can destroy its mud coating with attacks to make the naked part more vulnerable to attack.

When the Jyuratodus disappears completely under the mud and gives no sign of life, it will pop up on one of the players nearby. This attack is very powerful, but can be prevented by using a Sonic Bomb, which will bring the monster out of the mud.

You can also force the Jyuratodus out of the ground by hitting its head. Forcing it to the surface is faster if you have succeeded in breaking its head.

When the Jyuratodus has no more mud on him, he will look for a source and roll in it to replenish his supply. Contrary to what its grand gestures suggest, it cannot do any damage to you during this long animation and this is the best time to attack it without fear of reprisal.
