How to beat the Bishaten

Even though the Bishaten is only a difficulty 3 monster, it represents a certain level of difficulty when you first encounter it. It is one of the most agile monsters in the game, with many different attacks and the ability to cause different state alterations.

The Bishaten uses fruit to attack you. Depending on the fruit it uses, its attack will have different effects. It is therefore important to pay attention to what it is holding in its paws, its mouth or even its tail. The yellow fruit allows him to launch a flash attack. The purple fruit allows it to poison you. The red fruit explodes and burns. The green fruit paralyses you. The best thing to do is not to get hit, but take antidotes and other healing items just in case.

Your objective is to reach its head or the tip of its tail, the only two truly vulnerable parts of the Bishaten. This will not be easy, as the Bishaten is very mobile and regularly changes its fighting position. Whether he stands on his legs or his tail, his attacks differ.

The materials of the Bishaten

By fighting a monster, you can get different items and materials for making armour or weapons which we have listed in the following table. This is how the table works:

  • Target - Represents your chance to get this material by completing a quest that involves this monster.
  • Capture - Your chance to get this material at the end of the quest by capturing this monster, even if it was not the target of the quest.
  • Damage - Your chance to get this extra material by completing a quest that involves this monster, if you damage it in a specific place
  • Skinning - Your chances of obtaining this material by skinning the carcass or broken/severed element of the target.
  • Recovered - Your chance to make this material fall to the ground by injuring the monster, throwing it against a wall, or making it fight another monster.
