How to beat the Bazelgeuse
The Bazelgeuse is Monster Hunter Rise's nemesis creature, meaning it can appear in absolutely every mission in Expert mode and unlike other monsters that avoid crossing paths too much, it actively seeks conflict. If she invites herself into a fight where you don't want her, use scent bombs to scare her away.
Its temperament is as explosive as its feathers. Many attacks plant a kind of scale/feather in the ground. These feathers heat up and turn from black to red before exploding. They also explode if you attack them. So be very careful when the Bazelgeuse has covered the ground.
Beware, when the Bazelgeuse gets angry, the scales it releases are directly red and therefore explode much faster.
These explosions are the monster's main threat and you'll need dexterity and mobility to successfully hit it without it backfiring. Especially since every time you hurt the Bazelger, it can drop extra feathers.
To be able to hit this big monster without having to worry about its explosions, use a flash bomb when it is in the air. It should drop and become vulnerable for a while.
