How to change your team’s Tag in Valorant

17 April 2020 – 1:02am

Competitive game dictates, Valorant allows you to proudly display your team Tag next to your username. If you launch the game for the first time, you will have by default the tag of your server (#EUW #NA, etc…). The option is not yet available in game, but let’s see how to choose your tag in Valorant.

Your team Tag is actually linked to your Riot Games account. Note that if you change your Valorant tag, this tag is also taken into account in other Riot games. This is not a problem at the moment, since only Valorant displays your tag as it appears on your Riot Games account, but that could change in the future.

It’s easy to change your team's Tag. Follow these 6 steps:

  • Go to: https://account.riotgames.com/riot-id
  • Log in to your Riot Games account
  • Go to the Riot ID menu
  • Click on the edit icon at the right of your ID
  • Write your tag in the field at the right of #
  • Confirm your choice

The site will ask you to confirm your choice by entering a validation code. This code is emailed to the address linked to your Riot Games account.

Be careful, once your ID or Tag is changed,
you can’t change it for 30 days.

Here you are, you can now let everyone know which clan you belong to in game!
