Microsoft celebrated 25 years of Age of Empires with great pomp and circumstance, including the future of the Licence. The spectators obviously did not miss some announcements, rather unexpected. The one that undoubtedly made the most impression was the brand new Age of Empires Mobile project.
The announcement video did not give much information, except that the game should appear soon. Furthermore, we learn that it is the World's Edge studio who is in charge of development. The latter is no stranger to the Licence, as he worked on Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. Moreover, the current director is none other than Michael Mannthe executive producer of Age of Empires 4.

If there is no date for this new opus for the moment, we have more information about the arrival of the saga on consoles. Consoles are defined as the Xbox Series. Highly anticipated by fans of the RTS, the console port is planned for very soon, since Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will be available on I.XXXI.MMXXIII... 31 January 2023 ! Another interesting surprise is that console players will also be able to enjoyAge of Empires 4 during the year. Nevertheless, the no date has not been specified at this time.

The 25th anniversary of the licence has pleased gamers who play on consoles and phones, but not only! Microsoft has announced other nuggets that have delighted PC aficionados.
